Beet-Orange Cake | Ingredients: |      | 3 cups sugar |   | 3 cups flour |      | 3 beets |   | 1 cup orange juice |      | 2 tablespoons butter or margarine |   | 3 eggs |      | 1 tablespoon baking powder |   | 1 can heavy cream |      | chocolate (amount desired) |   | sugar (amount desired) |

Preparation: |
1.- Cook in water the beets (half cooked). 2.- Blend the following ingredients: egg yolks, 3 beets, orange juice, sugar and butter. 3.- Add previous mixture to the flour which has been mixed with baking powder. Beat egg whites to stiff consistency and add to mixture. 4.- Pour into a greased and floured cake tin. 5.- Bake on medium oven for approximately 35 minutes.
* FROSTING:
1.- Combine cream with chocolate and sugar. 2.- Heat in a saucepan and pour hot over the cake. |
