Beef Stew | Ingredients: |      | 800 grs. beef ribs |   | 1 large onion |      | 2 tomatoes |   | 3 cloves garlic |      | 3 celery stalks |   | 3 carrots |      | 1 red bell pepper |   | 1 handful parsley |      | 2 bay leaves |   | 1 cup red wine |      | oil (amount necessary) |   | salt and pepper |      | 5 cups boiling water |   | 1/4 cup bread crumbs |      | 2 cups rice |   |

Preparation: |
Heat oil in a large pot. Brown beef ribs thoroughly. Add 5 cups of boiling water, some salt and bay leaves. Cover and simmer approximately 1 hour, or until meat is tender. Then, prepare the following ingredients: Chop onion and garlic and fry slightly in a pan. Chop coarsely celery, carrots and pepper and add to pan. Cook for 2 additional minutes and add everything to meat pot. Add wine and peeled tomato (cut in wedges). Check seasoning and add more salt and pepper to taste. Last, add bread crumbs and chopped parsley. Cover and simmer until vegetables are cooked. Cook rice as usual and serve with the meat. |
