Maple Nut Granola
Ingredients:
    
5 Cups rolled oats
 
1/4 cup wheat germ
    
1 cup shredded coconut
 
1/2 cup chopped almonds
    
1/2 cup chopped pecans
 
3 TBL flax seeds
    
1/4 cup vegetable oil
 
8 TBL real maple syrup
    
6 TBL packed brown sugar
 
2 TBL warm water
    
1/2 tsp salt
 
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Lightly grease a large cookie sheet, with sides, with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, stir together the oats, wheat germ, coconut, nuts, and flax seeds. In a seperate bowl wisk together the oil, syrup, sugar, water and salt. Pour the liquid over the oat mixture and stir until evenly coated. Spread out on the sprayed cookie sheet.
Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool, and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
