Christmas Bread | Ingredients: |      | 250 grs. flour |   | 150 grs. butter |      | 6 eggs |   | 200 grs. sugar |      | 200 grs. crystallized, or candied fruit |   | 100 grs. raisings |      | 100 grs. canned cherries |   | 100 grs. brazilian nuts |      | 100 grs. walnuts |   | 3 tablespoons baking powder |      | 30 ml. whiskey |   | 30 ml. sweet red wine |      | 30 ml. brandy |   | 30 ml. water |

Preparation: |
1. Beat with electric mixer the butter with the sugar, until a creamy consistency is achieved. 2. Sift together the baking powder with the flour. 3. Add the eggs to the butter mixture, alternating with the flour. Add the whiskey, wine and brandy, and some water if necessary. 2. Chop the nuts. Mix the nuts and fruit with half of the sugar and some flour, and add to dough. Place the dough in a greased baking tin. 3. Bake in preheated oven on medium temperature for approximately one hour. Place a skew stick inside dough, and if it comes out clean without any dough, the bread is done.
