 Baked Beans
 Ingredients:
     1kg Dried Great Northern Beans  6 tbs Olive oil
     3 Large onions, diced  9 Cloves garlic
     1kg Bacon, sliced 1cm  2.8 l Passata
     3 Bay leaf  3 tsp Thyme
     3 tsp Paprika  1 1/2 tsp Ground coriander
     2 tsp Salt   2 tsp Ground pepper
     200 ml Maple syrup  
Baked Beans
 Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 160°C
2. Rinse soaked beans (soaked overnight) then out into a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil.
3. Strain beans and rinse with cold water.
4. Heat oil in a cast iron pot.
5. Sauté onion, garlic and bacon for 5 minutes.
6. Add beans, passata and remaining herbs to pot. Mix well.
7. Transfer pot, sealed with lid to oven for 6 hours, stirring after 3 hours checking mixture is still sloppy. Add water if dry.
8. After 6 hours, mix through maple syrup.
