Coconut bread with bran
Ingredients:
    
1, 1/2 cup grated coconut
 
455 g white or wholemeal flour
    
910 g bran
 
2 cups water (warm)
    
2 tablespoons butter
 
1/2 cup white or brown sugar
    
3 teaspoons salt
 
3 tablespoons yeast
    
1 egg
 
granulated sugar, white or brown (optional)
Preparation:
1- Put in a bowl the coconut with 1 and 1/2 cup of warm water. Reserve.
2- Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water, add a tablespoon of sugar and 1
tablespoon of flour.
3- When the yeast rises, add the remaining ingredients, in a wider bowl.
4- Knead well until have a soft preparation.
5- If the dough is a little tough, add a little more water.
6- Cover with a dishcloth in a warm place, and let it rises until have volume.
7- Divide the dough into portions depending on the size you want.
8- Put the loaves ready to place in the oven, into buttered baking trays.
9- Leave the loaves in the trays and let rise again in volume. Pass with beaten
egg, if you like sweet, add granulated sugar into the beaten egg and brush
over them.
10- Bake over 350°F or 180°C, for 40 minutes.
11- Once baked let them cool.
