 Carrot bread
     1/2 kg flour  150 g icing sugar
     50 g chopped walnuts  50 g margarine
     1 1/2 cup milk  2 tablespoons  baking powder
     1 teaspoon salt  2 medium carrots, grated
     1 egg  
1. Mix in a bowl, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
2. Separately, beat the milk and beaten egg and add slowly to the previous
preparation with encircling movements.
3. Add the melted margarine, chopped walnuts and grated carrots.
4. Mix everything and place in an English pudding mold, buttered and floured .
5. Bake in moderate oven, about 1 hour.
It is ideal for tea hour, and can be served alone or spread with jam.
